Hello, my name is Jay Matthew I design & build things for the web.

I’m basically a mad scientist but with pixels and code—I cook up cool designs in my brain and zap them into existence on the web! Every day is a new chance to tinker, learn, and accidentally break things (before fixing them, of course). Right now, I’m on a quest to power up my skills and create even more mind-blowing stuff!

Who Am I ?

I’m a coder, creator, teacher, gamer, human calculator, and entrepreneur all rolled into one!

As a designer

I’m obsessed with design! I see things differently—whether it’s typography, colors, or all the little details that bring a project to life. I love figuring out the perfect way to arrange them so everything looks crisp, clean, and effortlessly awesome at first glance. Also this isn’t a theme I designed this myself link & then built it myself.

As a coder

I first dived into web design back in 2015, and I was hooked! The fact that I could dream up designs and actually bring them to life with code blew my mind. Next thing I knew, pulling all-nighters to make it happen became my new normal!

As a gamer

I’m a gamer through and through! Whether it’s strategizing my way to victory, mastering insane combos, or just vibing in open-world adventures, I love the thrill of the game. From late-night grinding sessions to epic boss fights, gaming isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life.

As an entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur, I thrive on turning ideas into reality. Whether it’s building digital products, launching businesses, or strategizing for growth, I love the challenge of creating something valuable. Problem-solving, innovation, and a never-give-up mindset fuel my journey. Every day is a new opportunity to learn, adapt, and push the limits!

My Knowledge Base

Over time, I’ve gained valuable skills while working with incredible people and fantastic teams!
I kicked off this journey by teaming up with close friends and like-minded folks, diving into personal development and more.
I landed a job at a travel agency (Dialtravels) as a web and graphics designer, and let me tell you—it was an insanely fun and exciting time to be alive.
After leaving school, I joined AHF (Arm Of Hope Foundation) as a Lead WordPress Developer—SEO expert, content creation strategist, digital assets manager.
Senior web developer at iBrand Africa and Busyexpand Enterprise––Wordpress developer, frontend engineer, senior UIUX designer.
I’m still with Busyexpand while also freelancing with major brands, creating solutions that drive growth and development.

My Work Flow

I enjoy an organized system of working so I created a flow to get the most out of each work.

Understanding Needs

I discuss project needs with clients, provide professional insights, and collaborate to reach an agreement, ensuring a final product that satisfies both parties.

Design & Prototyping

Once I understand a client’s needs, I start designing. For larger projects, I begin with wireframing (a skeletal design structure) and share it for approval. After agreement, I refine it into a detailed visual design.

Development

Once the design is approved, I begin development by installing WordPress and necessary plugins. I create pages and share preview links for client feedback, ensuring a smooth process.

Testing & Deployment

After completing design and functionality, I share a review link with the client to fix errors and refine details. After a final check, I launch the project and optimize core web vitals.
